Crimson Sky — Horizon Tote

Autumn Light Collection

Crimson Sky is part of Autumn Light, the first collection from Jenko - inspired by the changing colours, textures and light of the landscape around us.

Designed and handmade in my Bristol studio, the Horizon Tote brings together contrasting colour, texture and pattern in a simple, contemporary form. Each bag is created from a considered combination of fabrics, chosen for their colour, character and tactile quality.

I love unexpected combinations, and the way contrasting fabrics can transform a familiar everyday shape into something with a little more personality.

About the Horizon Tote

The Horizon has a generous, relaxed shape with three contrasting horizontal panels across the front and back. Complementary piping adds a defined finishing detail, while the comfortable handles make it easy to carry throughout the day.

Inside, the bag is finished with a cotton lining, an internal zipped pocket and a Jenko label.

With plenty of room for everyday essentials, the Horizon is practical enough for everyday use while the combination of fabrics gives it a little more presence than a traditional tote.

Fabrics & making

Wherever possible, I use reclaimed, deadstock and upholstery fabrics, giving beautiful materials another life. I choose each combination for its colour, texture and character rather than following a fixed formula.

Because some of these fabrics are reclaimed or available only in limited quantities, subtle variations may occur between bags within the same colourway. This is part of what makes each Jenko piece unique.

The Inspiration - Crimson Sky

Inspired by those fleeting autumn evenings when the sky catches fire - deep crimson, fading light and the silhouettes of trees against the horizon.

Bold but beautifully autumnal, Crimson Sky brings a little drama to the Autumn Light collection, capturing that moment just before the day disappears.

Care

Spot clean gently with a damp cloth when needed. Do not machine wash, tumble dry or bleach. Avoid prolonged exposure to rain and allow the bag to dry naturally if it becomes damp.
